With the arrival of spring, the Festivities of San José, which offer us a lot of activities throughout the month of March 2024, almost 20 days of celebrations with some 50 cultural, sports and recreational proposals. The program is developed in collaboration with associations and groups in the municipality.
The official starting signal is marked by the traditional street cry el Thursday 14 of March 2024, this year in the hands of Toni Cardona Marí 'Pujolet', accompanied by a torrada popular of sobrassada and concert of Eivissurfers.
Furthermore, the famous Flower Power of San José Festival on Saturday, March 16 with performances by The Metrallas, DJ Javi Box, DJ Sr. Cardona and Smoking Stone; the XIV Correbars with live music in the town's bars; wave Second edition of the Octopus Fried Contest, with concerts by Hostal Pascual, The New Young Polaks, DJ José Díaz, La Repera and Animal DJ's.
There are also organized story-telling, exhibitions, a Choral Trobaba, food to benefit Manos Unidas, talks, cinema, music and various sports competitions.
El Tuesday March 19, 2024 is Big day, and as usual there will be misa solemn sung by the Choir of Saint Joseph and officiated by the bishop Vincent Ribas, plus procession, performances of Grup Folklòric Sant Josep de sa Talaia and the Álvaro Cunqueiro Group, from Valdoviño (A Coruña), and distribution of wine and studs. There will also be puppetry for the whole family with Xip Xap Theater and the traveling work'Rag & Bone', concert of Bogaloo Street and Projecte Mut, with a correfoc with the demons of Bad Esperits to finish.
