Sa Nostra Room hosts the exhibition “10 Gifts of 10", a tribute to ten Ibizan women organized by the Ibiza Council among its events for March 8, Day of the Working Woman.
The show is curated by Lina Sansano, director of the Ethnographic Museum of Can Ros and the curator Susana Cardona, and the inauguration 7 March 2023 Tuesday at 20 hours.
In order to draw up the profiles of these ten great women who have contributed to improving Pitiusa society, ten other women from the world of culture have also been chosen.
Thus, the teacher and activist Carmen Tur Ferrer (profile prepared by Susana Cardona), the anarcho-syndicalist and militia member maria costa torres (by Francisca Riera), the jurist, lawyer, politician and public defender Mª Luisa Cava de Llano y Carrió (by Laura Ferrer), the embroiderer, housewife and artisan Odila Antonio Torres (by Ana Ferrer), the music teacher and promoter of the Conservatory Catalina Bufi Juan (by Lina Sansano), set designer and artist Isabel Echarri Muñagorri (by Catina Costa), the gym teacher and promoter of sports education Julia Cano Cobos (by Lola Tena), the dancer, teacher and founder of Estudio Capricorn Sandy Plant (by Marina Suñer), the farmer, cook and seamstress Maria Planells Roig (by Belén Garijo), and the Carmelite missionary Victoria Escandell Tur (by Belén Garijo).
The exhibition can be visited until 14 April 2023.
The opening hours of the room are Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 17:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.
In addition, during the time it lasts, there will be some talks and presentations:
