The San José City Council organizes an interesting series of talks for families which seeks to provide them with tools and practical information to improve their coexistence, education and well-being.
These are four sessions given by various experts who will cover a wide variety of topics and relate to a wide range of ages, so that all parents can benefit from them.
The talks are Returns and are taught in Can Jeroni un Wednesday per month, always the last of the month. The schedule is always at 18 hours.
Also, if you don't have anyone to leave your child with, don't worry, they offer you a Childcare service for children from 3 years old during all the talks. Of course, you have to reserve it necessarily writing to infancifamilia@santjosep.org.
Family Talks Series Program:
-Wednesday, January 29, 2025: 'Educate with common sense', in charge of Armando Bastida, a pediatric nurse with extensive experience. Bastida is a benchmark in children's health and has a huge presence on social media, with around 130.000 followers on Instagram.
-Wednesday, February 28, 2025: 'We talk about behavior: Beyond the limits', in charge of Manuela Lopez, clinical psychologist and expert in child and family mental health. She will focus her talk on emotional management and conflict resolution in the family environment.
-Wednesday, March 26, 2025: 'From children's tablets to porn', in charge of Silvestre del Rio, a local police force with extensive experience in the field of child and youth safety. It will address security issues, from the use of new technologies to street safety.
-Wednesday, April 30, 2025: 'Pornography and adolescence: Arriving on time', By Alejandro Villena, sexologist and family therapist with an outstanding career. He will focus on the importance of sexual education and talking about sexuality in an open, respectful and taboo-free way.
