La Vicent Serra i Orvay Library of Sant Jordi welcomes the new 078 Magazine Book Club, with three sessions that extend until November focusing on three works of recent literature and is part of the program Units for our talk, organized in collaboration with the Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics, the Sant Josep City Council and the Balearic Government.
The first date, the Tuesday 22 September 2026 at 18:00h, revolves around «Experiments to imagine further«, by the British writer and feminist activist Lola OlufemiPublished by Raig Verd. It is a hybrid genre essay, halfway between poetry, narrative and political thought, in which Olufemi, author also of «Feminism interrupted"Reflect on the imagination as a tool of collective resistance and about the possibility of thinking different futures from the present.
The second session, the Tuesday 20 October 2026, is dedicated to «Here below", from Laia Viñas (Xerta, 1997), published by L'Altra Editorial. Second novel by this young author from Baix Ebre after winning the Documenta Prize with «Les closques"The book pays tribute to the generation that lived through the Ruta del Bakalao In the Valencian Community of the eighties, through the story of a group of friends who seek in the endless party an escape from the scarce prospects of the future and the weight of adult life.
The third and final appointment, the Tuesday, November 17, 2026, focuses on «Migrant seas", the first book of Fatima Saheb (Larraix, Morocco, 1995), published by Jande. A poet and activist based in Barcelona, Saheb signs a poems that works like Tribute and letter of thanks to migrant mothers, an invitation to ensure that their stories are not lost and that they also reach their daughters and sons.
All sessions take place at 18 hours.
