The Consell de Ibiza organizes a technical conference on waste management in the Plenary Room of its headquarters on Thursday 22 of February of 2024 de 9 a 16 Hora.
A meeting in which the different planning and management strategies for municipal waste and the European directives in this regard will be discussed, and in which various experts will participate who will tell real experiences from different territories in Spain.
There will be two blocks and two round tables.
In the first block, which will deal with the design and efficiency of facilities, participants Christina Rico, manager of the Andorra Waste Treatment Center; Javier Dominguez, executive president of the Sociedade Galega do Medio Ambiente; and Armengol Crane, director of the Urban Waste Incineration Service of Tarragona. The block will conclude with the round table “2030 Goal: limiting municipal discharges in controlled deposits to 10%”, moderated by Carles Salesa, director of the Residus Maresme Consortium.
The second block will deal with municipal strategies for efficient management and will include Gloria Sanchez, head of the Quality Control section of the Barcelona Waste Prevention and Management Directorate; Carmen Lainez, director of Waste for the Pamplona Region; and Laia Pedro, geographer and Environmental technician in Torelles de Llobregat. Afterwards, there will be a round table titled “Goal 2030: recycle at least 65% of municipal waste”, moderated by Montse Ruiz, Environmental Technician of the Consell de Ibiza.
At 14:30 p.m. there will be a catering food.
