La Ses Dotze Naus Foundation organizes “Reimagining the Instant City“, an interesting workshop that seeks to delve deeper into new architectures expository inspired by Instant City from 1971 en Ibiza.
The workshop is given by the Mallorcan curator and researcher Rachel Victoria, selected in the first edition of a research residency programme aimed at visual artists, curators and researchers from Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera promoted by Ses12naus.
Various experimental proposals inspired by the famous project will be developed there. Instant Citand, an ephemeral, pneumatic city of 15.000 m2 created during the VII Congress of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID), held in Cala de San Miguel from 14 to 16 October 1971. An exceptional and extremely modern exercise in experimentation on the possibilities of space.
This workshop will combine theoretical and practical work, and will be held on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8, 2024 in La Carpintería, the exhibition space of Ses Dotze Naus.
It is mainly focused on artists, curators, architects, designers, students and anyone interested in art.
