Suffering from cancer is undoubtedly terrible and in these moments of high vulnerability it is important to feel accompanied. For this reason, Spanish Association Against Cancer in Ibiza organizes “live with meaning“a series of group psychological care sessions for cancer patients in the advanced stages of the disease.
These types of sessions are designed to create a safe environment where each person can express their emotions, fears and worries, and above all, share with those who are going through a similar situation. The main idea is to provide tools for facing day to day, promote well-being and, if possible, reduce the anxiety and stress associated with this stage.
Here you can find not only professional support from psychologists specialized, but also the support from other colleagues. Something that helps reduce the feeling of isolation, since sometimes it is difficult to share these feelings with family or friends.
In addition to the emotional benefits, this type of support promotes the strengthening of the resilience and positive coping, because by listening to the experiences of others, it is possible to find new ways to face challenges. Often, simply feeling heard and understood has a healing effect and allows one to face difficulties with a more serene perspective.
The sessions are celebrated Every Wednesday from November 6, 2024 to January 7, 2025 at the AECC headquarters in Ibiza.
The schedule is 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
