The Ibiza artist Doralice Souza presents "Road to Ithaca“an exhibition with paintings inspired by the poetry of Cavafy, which invites you to enter a journey of self-discovery and reflection about the different stages of life in the Cultural Society Ebusus, in Ibiza city.
The exhibition is inspired by the poem “Ithaca” by Constantine Kavafis to create a visual metaphor that explores the very essence of personal journey, That journey that, beyond the destination, takes us transforms and enriches.
Thus, the exhibition is divided into three, symbolizing three stages of life and the process of self-knowledge:
-The match: An explosion of color and joy with vibrant tones and some shadows, reflects youth, beginnings, the first steps of that journey into the unknown.
-Trip: A changing sea full of contrasts and deep blues, with storms and clear skies, reflecting that intermediate phase of varied learning and challenges, where balance and introspection take center stage. And reminding us, as Kavafis said, that the path itself is our greatest treasure.
-The arrival: The culmination of the journey, the final chapter, which celebrates the serenity and knowledge gained when experience becomes wisdom, through soft and relaxing earth tones.
