Return this summer 2024 to Ibiza CAN, Contemporary Art Now, a great art fair that is undoubtedly one of the great cultural events of the season on the island.
In its third edition, CAN Art Fair returns to Exhibition Center of Ibiza to offer us the opportunity to discover the latest in current creation and with the abstraction playing a fundamental role.
CAN2024 will allow us to contemplate the work of 110 artists that have stood out in recent years, with the participation of more than 30 art galleriesIncluding Continue (with offices on three continents), AKIINOUE (Tokyo), Moisés Pérez de Albéniz (Madrid), Arusha Gallery (Edinburgh), Cassina Projects (Milan), Madragoa Gallery (Lisbon), Galerie Lætitia Gorsy (Leipzig), Gathering (London/Ibiza) or LAMB Gallery (London), among many others that are joining the fair for the first time.
In addition, they repeat other references such as 1969 Gallery (New York), Balloon Rouge (Brussels), Galerie Droste (Düsseldorf/Paris/Berlin), L21 (Mallorca/Barcelona), THE BIBI (Majorca), LUNDGREN GALLERY (Majorca), Marian Cramer Projects (Amsterdam), PIERMARQ* (Sydney), Plan X (Milan/Capri), PLUS-ONE Gallery (Antwerp), Ruttkowski;68 (Cologne/Düsseldorf/Paris/New York), The Hole (New York) and VETA by Fer Francés (Madrid).
As a novelty, this edition of CAN Art Fair will have a program of Special projects, with their own stands within the fair.
It is an initiative of the cultural promoter Sergio Sancho, responsible for the Madrid fair UVNT Art Fair (Urvanity), and is curated again this year by the art critic Sasa Bogojev.
In addition to the large exhibition at the Fairgrounds, you can visit the samples of the new Program OFF CAN 2024 with works by artists from the Balearic Islands and various unique parallel experiencessuch as visits to institutions or art collections.
As he explains Sergio Sancho: ““The first two editions of the fair have shown us that In Ibiza there is a hunger for contemporary art and that imagining an Art Week in the Pitiusas is not crazy. With this third edition, we want to continue consolidating our place on the island and strengthen relationships with collectors, artists and the public.”
CAN is held from Wednesday 26 to Sunday 30 July 2024 Thus, for five days it will become a meeting point for artists, art collectors, fans and personalities from the local and international cultural world.
La inauguration is Wednesday, June 26, 2023 from 18:00 p.m. to 22:00 p.m. and is reserved to collectors and VIP, so it is only for invitation. Of the Thursday June 27 to Saturday June 29, 2024 opening hours to the public are 18: 00 22 to: 00 hours. The Sunday 30 June 2024 the fair opens from 12:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m.
