Honor, old age, lost glory and the ghosts of the past come together in “Corsaris”, a theatrical proposal that mixes history and fantasy to offer us a poetic and exciting look at the last days of the legendary Ibizan corsair Antoni Riquer.
With a sober set design and a text full of symbolism, this work by the company L'Antonima Theatre invites the viewer to delve into the mind of a sick man, anchored between memories and delusions.
Every night, Riquer writes to the Captain General of the Balearic Islands, demanding command of the Felicity, the ship he conquered in his greatest corsair feat. But his routine is interrupted by the appearance of the ghost of his eternal rival, Michelle Novelli, with whom he ends up sharing a surreal and ironic scene: two corsairs stranded on a rudderless raft, with only stale biscuits and rotten water.
The appointment is Sunday 18 May 2025 in the auditorium of Cas Serres, in Ibiza town at 19 hours.
