El Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza (MACE) Joining International Museum Day, Ibiza Town offers a program that blends music, heritage, and emotion in the heart of the walled city. This event invites visitors to rediscover this key space in Ibiza's cultural scene from a different, more intimate and sensory perspective.
La pianista María José Perete This recital features a program that spans different eras and musical sensibilities. From the Baroque elegance of Francois Couperin to the romantic depths of Robert Schumann or Frédéric Chopin with his famous “Water dropThe repertoire is completed with two essential names in Spanish music, such as Alicia de Larrocha and Enrique Granados, in a balanced and nuanced journey.
Beyond the music, the concert has a special meaning because it is dedicated to Pepe Colomar (San Carlos, 1932–2025), a figure closely linked to the cultural development of the island and president of AMICS MACE between 2011 and 2025, as well as honorary president. A heartfelt tribute in a place that precisely represents that commitment to art and culture in Ibiza.
This event is part of the international program promoted by the ICOM, which each year reaffirms the role of museums as spaces for connection, dialogue and reflection in contemporary society.
