The Municipal Archive of Image and Sound of Ibiza (AISME) is organizing an exhibition with paintings by the French artist with Ibizan roots Frederic Belli that you can visit in the Refectory Room of the Ibiza Town Hall, in Dalt Vila.
The works that you will be able to contemplate move between the lyrical abstraction and the aesthetics of informalism typical of southern Europe. These are various paintings on sheets in which the following stands out acrylic technique.
Belli's works clearly show a marked influence from the Barcelona painter Antoni Tàpies, as both seek to clearly show in their paintings each path that the paintbrush and brush make.
Born in 1957 in Algiers, Frédéric Belli studied on his own for 5 years, then went on to study at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Toulouse from 1978 to 1980. He has held around thirty exhibitions, most of them in Toulouse and Albi, but also in galleries in Barcelona and Torrevieja.
This exhibition opened on 30 2024 October and you can visit until November 29, 2024.
Opening hours to the public are: Tuesday to Friday from 09:00 a.m. to 14:30 p.m.
