Waves Gallery, in Santa Eulalia, presents «The Footprints of the Sun", a new photographic exhibition by the artist Marcel Boer, which opens the Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 18:00 PM to 22:00 PMand will remain open until October 24, 2026.
Marcel Boer is a photographer based in Ibiza who divides his work between the documentary aesthetics and the snapshot, fine art and commercial photography, with recent commissions for fashion and product brands in addition to her personal work.
With this series, filmed on the island and its surroundings, Boer proposes a exploration of light and traces which it leaves in its wake: golden and warm tones, reflections of the Mediterranean and the constant movement of light on everyday surfaces and objects.
The result is a look at Ibiza at the same time fresh and deeply familiar, intimate and simple, wrapped in a subtle sense of mysteryA way to make the everyday feel new, and to find beauty in those moments that barely last a moment before disappearing.
The exhibition is part of the program at Olas Gallery, the Santa Eulalia space dedicated exclusively to artists residing on the island, which combines exhibitions with a selection of affordable pieces in the format of concept store, and that in recent months has been presenting different proposals focused on local creative talent.
