El Cultural Center of Jesus hosts «my seas«, an exhibition by the Valencian artist based in Ibiza María García de Leonardo.
Born in Valencia in 1983, María García de Leonardo is a lawyer by training, but her passion is abstract painting. The artist defines her work as a «marine abstraction"And in this exhibition he seeks to show his particular vision of the sea through the material painting, trying to make the spectator immerses himself in his paintings.
In his works, García de Leonardo uses sands, marbles, mica and various construction materials as base. As for their themes, most of them are starring the Mediterranean Sea, creating games lights and colors.
His works are characterized by their color, texture and a point of abstraction, reflecting the vital energy of Ibiza that influences her so much when creating.
The exhibition can be visited from July 1 to 29, 2024.
The room hours are Monday to Friday from 09:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 16:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.. It is closed on holidays.
