The Association Core Ibiza Art inaugurates a collective exhibition entitled 'Dining set without table ÷ chair x Dadá + Allis = 7 in s'illa' in the exhibition space of the Ses Coves Blanques Lighthouse in San Antonio, included in the program of Festivals of Sant Bartomeu.
A unique exhibition in which seven well-known Ibizan artists participate: Vicente Torres Noguera, Lina Andiñach, Julia Fragua, Miquel Farriol, Ezequiel Herrera, Pep Monerris 'Bagaix' and Gustavo Exnarriaga.
Each of them has intervened in one of the eight original chairs from a dining room set designed by the architect, photographer and documentary filmmaker Ferdinand Gallego (1907-1978), turning them into works of art that explore the function, history and transformation of the chair as an object, creating an artistic reflection on the meaning and stories that everyday objects can convey.
The transformed chairs range from the art and functionality, with a clear claim of the movement Dadaist, which revolutionized 20th century art.
The exhibition opens on Friday August 30 2024 at 20: 00 hours.
At the opening there will also be a performance in charge of Lina Andiñach entitled 'What if chairs could talk…?
You can visit it until September 14 2024.
The space opens from Tuesday to Saturday from 18:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m. and Saturdays also 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m.
