The culture room Sa Nostra Room, in Ibiza city, hosts a commemorative exhibition of Narcís Puget Riquer (1916 – 1983), one of the main artists in the history of Ibiza.
The exhibition, titled “Narcís Puget Riquer, the watercolorist from Ibiza“, is organized in the 40th Anniversary of his death and has been curated by Guillermina Puget and Joan Albert Ribas. Most of the works on display belong to the Puget Reig family, although eight are from the Artistic Fund of the Consell de Ibiza.
The exhibition traces the life of Puget Riquer, showing 32 their watercolors which portray scenes of Vila, Santa Eulalia or Formentera, as well as some portraits, including three of his elderly father. In some of them the works move away from figuration and approach a more abstract style. The exhibition closes with 16 of his photographs, when due to an eye disease the artist could no longer continue dedicating himself to painting.
The exhibition opens on Thursday December 14, 2023 at 20 hours and it is open until February 16 2024.
The opening hours of the room are Monday to Friday de 10 to 13: 30 hours and 17:30 a.m. to 20:30 p.m.
