The auditorium of Caló de s'Oli hosts the exhibition "Iron and pendulums”, a sculptural display by the veteran artist and blacksmith Mariano Marín Porcar, a resident of San José for more than four decades.
Born in Teruel and based in Ibiza for 42 years, Marín is a prominent figure in the iron art on the island. From his workshop, M. Marín IronworksLocated on the Sant Josep road, he has successfully transformed the remains of his commissions into unique sculptural pieces, full of character and expressiveness. His work transforms leftover metal into sculptures with soul, the fruit of a sensitivity forged between art and craft.
"Iron and Pendulums" reflects the personal vision that has made his home a living exhibition space, filled with works that exude creativity. This isn't the first time Marín has exhibited in San José: he previously did so in 1987 in the lobby of City Hall and in 2013 at Can Curt.
La inauguration Is celebrated the Friday 13 2025 June at 19 pm. After the official opening, the day continues in the auditorium's outdoor amphitheater with a concert Group DePol, in a performance organized by Europa FM that closes the night with art and music.
The sample can be visited until Sunday, June 29, 2025.
Visiting hours are Thursday to Saturday from 18: 30 to 20: 30 hours, Y de Friday to Sunday also in the morning, 11:00 to 13:30 hours.
