"Terra, water, air and focus. Tribute to master terrisser Frígoles" is an exhibition organized by the Consell de Ibiza that invites us to rediscover the island through one of its oldest and most essential languages: the ceramics.
The exhibition, which is being presented in Sa Nostra Room, is part of the programming of the European Days of Crafts 2026, an initiative celebrated throughout Europe with the aim of bringing traditional crafts closer to the contemporary public and highlighting the work of artisans as a living part of cultural heritage.
In this case, the focus is on the figure of Frígoles, a master potter whose career is deeply linked to the Ibizan ceramic traditionThrough this exhibition, his legacy is interpreted through the four elements. earth, water, air, and fire, fundamental pillars of pottery and, at the same time, a metaphor for the very balance between nature, technique and sensitivity.
Far from being a simple retrospective, the proposal becomes a sensory and conceptual journey through the processes, materials and values that define craftsmanship: from the transformation of materials to the human gesture that shapes each piece. A way of understanding that behind every object there is time, knowledge, and a direct connection to the land.
Furthermore, Ibiza has experienced a renewed interest in its roots in recent years, and traditional and contemporary crafts are once again taking center stage in its cultural scene, connecting with new generations.
The inauguration takes place on Wednesday 1 of April of 2026 at 19 hours.
You can visit the exhibition until Saturday 11 of April of 2026.
The schedule is 10 to 30 pm the Easter holidays, that is, the 2, 3, 4 and 6 for April, and the rest of the days can also be seen in the afternoon, from 17 to 30 pm, remaining closed on Sundays.
An opportunity to reconnect with the island's traditions.
