Sa Nostra Room hosts «Astronomy from Ibiza 1956-2026«, an exhibition that invites us to discover the sky like never before, through images captured from the island itself over the last seven decades.
The exhibition brings together around a thirty astronomical photographs made by members of the Ibiza Astronomical Associationwith images of nebulae, galaxies, planets and other celestial phenomena which normally escape notice. Many of them have been recognized with international distinction APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day) NASAwhich gives an idea of the technical and artistic level of the work on display.
In addition to the visual impact, the exhibition proposes a a journey through the history of the group itself, founded in 1956, with materials, documents and parts highlighted as a historic telescope over one hundred years old, which has now become a genuine museum piece.
The inauguration takes place on Thursday 16 of April of 2026 at 20 hours.
You can visit the exhibition until the 14 of May of 2026In hours Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 17:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m., and the Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m.
