Sa Nostra Room, a cultural and exhibition space of the Consell de Ibiza, presents a new exhibition on the new photographic legacy entered and inventoried in the Image and Sound Archive, a total of 1.200 images, taken and donated by the Navarrese Javier Ilundain.
In the collection, most of them in black and white, but also some in color, we find natural landscapes, urban landscapes, sunsets, architecture and island scenes of yesteryear, like village festivals, processions, motocross competitions or hippie markets. Obviously, only a selection of images can be seen in this exhibition.
Javier IlundainThe youngest of six siblings, born in Pamplona in 1952, he always showed a desire to explore other places. After completing his military service in 1971, he had the urge to travel to Ibiza by chance, and the island impressed him so much that after a few years, while working at a bank, he had the opportunity to request a transfer to Ibiza due to the opening of new branches of his company there.
His island adventure took place in 1975 to 1981, first alone, and then with his wife, brought them a lot of experiences and, together with the prestigious photographer Carlos Canovas, Javier Ilundain entered the world of photography.
The exhibition opens on Monday 21 of April of 2025 at 20 hours.

The room opens from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 17:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m. The Saturdays It's open of 10: 00 to 13: 30 hours.
