On Friday 21 and Saturday 22 in April the cultural center of Can Jeroni in San José hosts a tribute to the filmmaker Basilio Martín Patino
The director of Salamanca cinema Basilio Martín Patino, known for films as "Nine letters to Berta" (1965) "Songs for after a war" (1971) o "Dear executioners" (1973) is the protagonist of a tribute which is organized in the cultural center of Can Jeroni in San José.
El Friday 21 April at 20 hours There will be conference-colloquium entitled "Memory of a long postwar period", which will have the participation of Luis Ruiz, from the Forum per la Memòria d'Eivissa i Formentera, and the film critic Javier Tolentino, conductor of the program of RNE3 "The seventh vice". After the colloquium will screen Martín Patino's film "Songs for after a war", which evokes the postwar years in Spain through popular songs mounted on images.
El Saturday 22 April at 20 hours another interesting one is organized conference-colloquium entitled "The cinema of Postwar. Basil Martin Patino ", again with the participation of Javier Tolentino and with the well-known actor Emilio Gutiérrez Caba. After the colloquium the film "Nine Letters to Berta" will be screened, winner of the Silver Shell for the Best Opera Prima at the San Sebastian Film Festival of 1966.
