If you have a feature film idea lingering in your mind, even if it's just a synopsis or an initial concept, Ibicine launches a very interesting call for screenwriters: Ibicine ScriptLab, the first feature film screenwriting lab-residence which is held in Ibiza.
This new program, promoted by the Ibiza Film Festival, is designed to accompany fiction and animation projects, with no genre or theme limitations, from the initial idea to a fully developed and ready script for the industry.
The ScriptLab will select five projects, who will receive personalized mentoring, workshops and coaching sessions with top-level professionals, combining a online phase during March 2026 and a in-person residency in Ibiza from April 8th to 12th, within the framework of the festival.
Confirmed mentors include big names like the producer Luis Manso (winner of several Goya awards and responsible for titles such as "Champions" or "Camino"), the screenwriter Jorge Naranjo («The Glass Girls», «Casting») or the screenwriter and producer Teresa Fernández-Valdés ("Fariña", "Cable Girls"), as well as professionals linked to FRAPA, the largest screenwriting market in Latin America. The experience culminates with a day of pitch to the industry, one-to-one meetings and the awards ceremony during Ibiza 2026.
How to participate in Ibicine ScriptLab
La call it's open until January 15 2026 and is structured in two phases. In the primeraIt is enough to present one synopsis and a statement of intentsThis makes the lab a real opportunity even for ideas that are not yet developed. Hence the 20 projects will be selected that will move on to a second more advanced phaseuntil reaching the five finalists.
La registration It is done exclusively through the official Ibicine website (www.ibicine.com), has a cost of 50 euros per project and allows you to present more than one proposal per person, as long as they are Unreleased feature-length fiction films of at least 60 minutes.
Furthermore, the program guarantees the selection of at least one project from the Balearic Islands, reinforcing its commitment to local talent.
As a final incentive, the project winner get a Direct entry to the FRAPA 2026 pitching sessions in Brazil, with accommodation and accreditation included, while the five finalists will have access to international one-to-one meetingsA rare opportunity to turn an idea into a project with real potential.
