The anthology brings together 49 works which reflect the different stages of Jean Willi's career and highlight the constant evolution of an artist who has explored different languages plastics without ever losing their personality. The exhibition begins with the drawing he submitted to gain admission to the art school in his hometown and concludes with his most recent creations, offering a comprehensive view of several decades of work.
In addition to its pictorial productionThe exhibition incorporates a selection of his literary facet, with publications dedicated to the mythology of Ibiza, a theme that has sparked the artist's interest for years and is also part of his creative universe.
Visitors will be able to discover the technical versatility by Jean Willi through works made with graphite, ballpoint pen, India ink, watercolor, and oil paint...among other disciplines. According to the exhibition curator, Joan Albert RibasThey all share a common trait: the artist's solid academic background, visible in each of his compositions.
Jean Willi himself has explained that the selection of works has been a complex process due to the extensive material accumulated throughout a lifetime dedicated to art, although he believes that the result faithfully represents his artistic journey.
The exhibition opens on 30 July 2026 Thursday at 20:00h and can be visited until 22th August 2026.
