El Far of Ses Coves Blanques in San Antonio welcomes “Metamorphosis“, a photography exhibition curated by the photographer and visual artist Chris Dramin, which invites us to reflect on the maternity and the transformation of woman into mother from the male perspective.
The exhibition features a careful selection of works by photographers David Angle (Madrid) and Alfredo Esteban (Menorca, Dominican Republic). Through analog and digital images, we will become aware of the physical, emotional and intimate changes that occur in motherhood and in relationships.
"Motherhood has historically been narrated from the female experience, but what happens to those who observe and accompany all these changes? This exhibition seeks give voice to the male experience in this process, showing the emotion, the confusion and the reformulation of the couple's bond that the arrival of a child entails", Cris Dramin said.
The exhibition is distributed in of rooms, each dedicated to a photographer, with a subjective and personal vision on the metamorphosis of motherhood.
In addition, an interactive installation is also proposed so that visitors can read anonymous testimonies from men who have wanted to share their personal experiences and, if they wish, leave their own written on the mural.
The exhibition opens on Friday 28 of February of 2025 at 18 hours.
You can visit it until 15 2025 March.
