El Cultural Center of Jesus hosts «The Sargantana Gaze«, an immersive exhibition by the audiovisual artist Rob Loren Inspired by one of the most representative and threatened icons of the island: the Pitiusan lizard.
Known for his installations, projections and hybrid creations that combine digital art, symbolism and territory, Rob Loren presents for the first time in Ibiza this new project, conceived specifically for the Jesús Cultural Center.
Through video art, stage sets, visual and sensory pieces, the artist proposes a profound reflection on the disappearance of this small endemic reptile and what its extinction represents for local identity and biodiversity.That penetrating gaze of the icon of the island in extinction... How much mystery and how much history is hidden in those eyes"," the artist states.
The exhibition can be visited from 26 from June to 23 from July of 2025In hours Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and from 16:30 p.m. to 20:30 p.m.
Born in Asturias, Rob Loren is the creator of audiovisual experiences that transit between the ancestral and the contemporary, with a language that blends installation, intervened photography, generative art, and mapping. Her work is characterized by exploring the visual memory of the territory, myth, and symbolism, always from a technological and sensorial perspective.
He has exhibited in spaces such as LABoral Centro de Arte, Museo Barjola, Espacio Líquido, and has intervened in architecture such as the Royal Basilica of Covadonga and the Niemeyer Center. In Ibiza, his work has been present in Anita House (Saint Charles), Aiyanna Restaurant (Cala Nova), Hotel Ánfora (Es Canar), B12 Gallery and the Ibiza Light Festival.
Among his most outstanding works is «Hybrid«, an audiovisual piece that explores contemporary myth through the intersection of sound, light and emotion.
The exhibition represents a unique opportunity to explore Loren's creative universe, which combines a immersive aesthetics with a strong environmental commitment and symbolic.
