El Cultural Center of Jesus hosts «Tears and poison«, a stage production by the Madrid-based company Foreign Bodies that revisits the biblical account of creation from a current, critical and deeply symbolic perspective.
Premiered in Madrid and also presented in Seville, the play now arrives in Ibiza as part of the cultural program promoted by the Santa Eulalia City Council, bringing to the island a piece of contemporary theatre that invites rethinking inherited narratives from the present.
Created and directed by Daniela Moya, At the helm of Cuerpos Extraños and focused on a physical and conceptual stage language, the work is performed by Moya herself along with Elia Hurtado Cardona, two performers who sustain the piece from an intense stage relationship charged with dramatic tension.
Through a clandestine meeting between Eve and the serpent after their expulsion from Paradise, they construct a dialogue charged with complicity, memory, and challenge, posing new readings on guilt, desire, punishment and freedom from a contemporary perspective.
The performance takes place on Friday 13 of March of 2026 at 20 pm.
La Admission is free until full capacity is reached, making the event one of those rare opportunities to enjoy contemporary theatre on the island.
