The painter from Ibiza Marga Guasch presents a new exhibition in The Port Ibiza Hotel Spa in what will be his first exhibition in the city of Ibiza.
Guasch has selected for the occasion 15 medium and large format paintings that are part of their series "Abstractions" y "Matèria Onírica" and that they will be installed in the spacious hotel lobby, a diaphanous and luminous space that can be accessed by the external public.
As the very titles with which she has baptized her series indicate, Marga Guasch's works are starring the matter and color. All of them also drink from a marked influence of the american abstract expressionism and are inspired by seabed of Ibiza and Formentera.
In his paintings, Guasch uses mixed techniques a base Acrylic on canvas and using sometimes gold or copper leaf to simulate the effect of the reflection of the sun's rays in the water.
Marga Guasch In addition to being a painter, she is an art historian and curator of historical heritage and belongs to the collective Women in the Visual Arts (MAV), Yet the Ibiza Multiart Association (AMAE), with whom he regularly exhibits, both collectively and individually.
In 2021 won the third prize in the IbizArtguide art contest and currently participates in Art amb B and Baleària Foundation. In addition, his work is currently present in various traveling exhibitions.
