La 8th Balearic Islands Day Short Film Festival, which commemorates the entry into force of the Balearic Statute of Autonomy in 1983, is celebrated on Thursday 5 of March of 2026 at 20:00h at the Can Jeroni Cultural Centre in San José.
The exhibition brings together a selection of short films produced in the Balearic Islands, featuring recent works from various genres and storytelling styles. The screenings include:
- «Send2» – A fun science fiction short film with narrative winks.
- «Backstage to Paradise» – Documentary showcasing the inclusive catwalk of Ibiza Inclusion Fashion Day.
- «Èixam» – Drama that explores personal encounters.
- «Fantaterror» – Horror and fantasy with a style statement.
- «Perill d'extinció» – Dramatic thriller with a youthful theme.
These proposals are not only a showcase of Balearic talent, but also an opportunity to see the landscape, voices and concerns of the islands reflected in short, fresh and contemporary films.
