Los Pitiusas Letters Awards 2026 they celebrate their 10º Anniversary with a special edition that reinforces what this competition has been building for years: a real space for authors, both established and emerging, and a way to value literary creation born (or linked) to the Pitiusas Islands, in Castilian and Catalan, with two main modalities: poetry and short stories.
This year, 2026, the prize takes another step forward in format and ambition: for the first time, a gala open to the public with literary dinner The event, conceived as a cultural and festive gathering, will bring the written word to life. The organizers have confirmed the writer's attendance. Xavier Moro, and has announced that more names from the literary and cultural scene will be added.

One of the most emotional moments of this edition is the Pitiusas Letters Honorary Award 2026, which is granted to Santa Eulalia Book ClubThe oldest in Ibiza and Formentera. The recognition highlights something essential: it's not just writing that matters, it's also reading and maintaining spaces where reading is shared, debated, and where community is built over years.
Furthermore, the anniversary edition will also take care of the symbol: the artist Maria José Marí Bufí will be in charge of creating the commemorative figures For the winners, inspired by the defense towers as an emblem of the territory and of this decade of awards.
How to participate
Regarding participation, the call remains open and is directed to 16 over years, with a single work by author, original and unpublished, without having been awarded previously. Works are accepted in Catalan or Castilian, in two formats:
- Short narrative: between 5 and 10 pages
- Poetry: between 40 and 80 verses
The application period ends at 24:00 hours on February 15, 2026.
