Agony + Ecstasy Gallery, the first pop art and photography gallery in Ibiza, presents the exhibition “Rocks Stars: Mick Rock x Hannah Shillitor”, curated by Emma Salahi, director of Agony + Ecstasy Gallery, which can be visited at Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel.
This is an interpretation by the British contemporary artist Hannah Shillito of some of the images of the legendary photographer of rock stars Mick rock, including musical icons such as David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Lou Reed and Nico, Tina Turner, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Iggy Pop and Dolly Parton.
The sample consists of 10 original screen prints of bright colors, varnished and hand-decorated with diamond dust, which represent an exciting fusion between pop art and portrait, with a certain point of irony. The originals will be accompanied by 75 giclée prints limited edition. The works are stamped by the Estate of Mick Rock and signed and numbered by Hannah Shillito with a certificate of authenticity.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 8 of August of 18: 00 to 20: 00 hours and you can visit until 19th September 2024 at the Cala de Bou hotel.
In addition, there are a series of parallel activities such as the screening of the documentary “Shot!, The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock” (Barnaby Clay, 2016) in Grand Paradiso or a talk between Emma Salahi, founder of Agony + Ecstasy, and Hannah Shillito.
