Ibicine Official Feature Film Section

Ibicine 2026 unveils the Official International Feature Film Section of its 9th edition with a powerful international selection

Ibicine It once again transforms the island into a meeting point for independent and auteur cinema with its Official International Feature Film SelectionOne of the major highlights of the Ibiza Film Festival's ninth edition is its carefully curated and diverse program, featuring films that have screened at leading festivals, confirming the event's growth and consolidation.

Among the titles selected this year, the following stand out: "In Silence", "Gioia", "Arco", "Private Life", "Desire to Live" and "Here Come the Dogs"The films range from intimate drama to social commentary and contemporary reflection, creating a diverse section in terms of both genre and origin. Many of these works arrive with the endorsement of other international festivals and circuits, further solidifying Ibicine's competitive edge.

The Ibiza Film Festival, directed by Helher EscribanoIt maintains its own identity within the national audiovisual landscape, clearly differentiating itself from other festivals on the island and opting for a program structured around competitive sections, professional meetings, and parallel activities. The Official Feature Film Section is undoubtedly one of its fundamental pillars, as the selected works compete for the Astarte Awards, official festival awards.

During the screenings, the audience plays a key role, as their feedback influences some of the awards, strengthening the direct connection between creators and viewers. Furthermore, the festival continues to work on its international reach, attracting productions from various countries and expanding its network of collaborations.

The Official Section is held from Wednesday, February 18 to Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with screenings at two key venues on the island's cultural circuit: the Theater Spain of Saint Eulalia and the Cinema Regio from San Antonio. Two emblematic spaces that reinforce the decentralized nature of the festival and its commitment to bringing quality cinema to different parts of the island.

All screenings are at 19 pm And each session will be followed by a live episode of podcast "Ibicine en el Aire".

Tickets for each session cost 6 Euros and are available on the Ibicine website.
