El Theater Spain Santa Eulalia hosts «Tableau Oriental"A stage production that invites you to travel through..." Eastern dance, music, and culture.
Presented by the cultural association Can PlanetThis show brings together on stage some of the most representative names in oriental dance in Ibiza, in a choral format that combines tradition and contemporary expression.
The production features the participation of Ibiza Tribal Clan and Taqsim Dance ProjectTwo projects closely linked to the local scene, working from choreographic research and the fusion of styles within oriental and tribal dance. In the case of Taqsim Dance Project, it is a proposal directed by Paula Catalán which explores belly dancing from a stage and group perspective, with a very careful and contemporary aesthetic.
This artistic core is complemented by particularly noteworthy collaborations, such as that of Nur Banu, one of the great references of oriental dance in Ibiza, with more than four decades of experience and training in Egypt, where she developed her style alongside top-level teachers.
The cast is completed by the group layali, formed by students from Nur Banu itself with a solid joint track record, and Al Banat, reinforcing the collective and theatrical nature of the proposal.
All of this accompanied by live music performed by Yaron Marko, musician and luthier based in Ibiza, whose interpretation with traditional instruments such as the nay and percussion It adds an organic and immersive dimension to the show.
The result is a staging of approximately 60 minutes combining different techniques and styles to offer a visual journey full of rhythm, expression and cultural sensitivity, designed for All public and with a clear aim to bring these traditions closer to the viewer.
