Barbara Velli presents its art exhibition tufting (an ancient textile manufacturing technique) “Teixint Arcans" at Far de ses Coves Blanques, beautiful exhibition space in San Antonio.
The inauguration is held on Thursday 30 of January 2025 at 18 pm and will be performance “Tarot” by Claudia Reig at 19 pm, accompanied by the music of Franco Botto on the saxophone.
Artist Barbara Velli began her career in painting and ceramics, but later found her form of expression in weaving. Velli makes tapestries full of volume and personality that allow them to express their stories.
Her creative process consists of combining technique and intuition, starting with a sketch and letting the material and energy guide her work. “Wool came to me like a fresh breeze, inspiring me to create and explore new textures,” she says.
In this series of tapestries, Velli is inspired by the Tarot arcana, inviting us to use colors and textures as a tool of visual meditation, helping to discover new insightsTarot came into Velli's life at the age of 17 and has guided her spiritual path ever since, along with the teachings of Carl Gustav Jung and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
The process of weaving the arcana took Velli through a months-long process of introspection and reconnection with oneself. “I invite each viewer to interpret the works without fear, allowing the message they receive to be the one they are ready to understand at that moment,” he explains.

The schedule to do so is Tuesday to Friday from 17:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. and from 17:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m.
