El Ibiza Wingfoil Open (IWO) Spanish Racing Championship, is celebrated in San Antonio del Friday 4 to Sunday 6 of October of 2024, organized by the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni and the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation.
El wingfoil It is a booming sport that could be included as an Olympic discipline for Los Angeles 2028. It has a competitive format divided into three modalities: Freestyle, Waves and RacingThe Freestyle and Wave formats are usually held together, in wave spots, and for Racing, spots with flat seas are chosen, under a more complex format of routes and options than the rest.
The championship has reached its maximum number of participants and will have a total of 60 sailors, many of them leading national figures, such as the Canary Islander of German origin Gunnar Biniasch, who has won the last three Spanish Racing championships, or Jeremy Hernandez Rodriguez, another of the best in the country.
