Festivities of San José This year they add a perfect date for lovers of chess with the celebration of a Open and Under-14 friendly tournament, an open proposal that combines competition, learning and a participatory environment.
Organized in collaboration with Cultural Association Amics dels Escacs and the project Chess IbizaThe tournament is designed for amateur and non-federated players, in an accessible format that appeals to both those who already play and those who want to get started in the game.
The match will be played using a [system of] six rounds, with age categories (from 7 to 99 years old) and awards by category, in addition to a small A gift for everyone the participants, reinforcing the educational and festive nature of the day.
The appointment takes place on Saturday 21 of March of 2026 at 16:00h in the Library of San José.
