The Ibiza Town Hall, from its Department of Equality, has prepared various activities such as theater, poetry readings, concerts and sports to celebrate this 2023 el International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8.
The program starts the March 3th 2023 and lasts throughout the month.
El March 3, 4 and 5, 2023 the auditorium of Can Ventosa hosts the play'Trial a bitch', by Miguel del Arco, under the direction of Maruxa Martos of the company Rita Luna. Tickets can be reserved for free on the web www.eivissa.es.
El Saturday 4 of March of 2023 there is a game of chess and performance 'Queen's Gambit' at 11 am in Vara de Rey, with Maria Rodrigo Yanguas, PhD in psychology, president of the "Woman and Chess" commission.
El Sunday March 5, 2023Will be held the XI Cursa de la Dona and the VII Caminada per la Dona.
El Tuesday March 7, 2023, starting at 19.30 hours in the Casal de Igualdad there is a musical poetic recital with the poetesses Iolanda Bonet, Maria Tere-sano Ferrer, Catalina Ferrer, Daughter-in-law Albert, Beatriz Ceballos, Teresa Navarro, Neus Cardona, Eva Tur and Montse Rovira and with the group Mon&MarCel interpreting the poems in acoustic format. There will be a service playroom for children between 2 and 12 years.
On International Women's Day itself, the Wednesday March 8, 2023, the traditional manifestation at 18:30 hours from the Peace Park to the Reina Sofía Park, convened by the Feminist Associations of Ibiza. At 17:30 p.m. in the Parque de la Paz the banners are made and at 19:30 p.m. the manifesto is read.
El Friday, March 10, 2023 Is celebrated the II Women's Festival with a concert Crumbs.
El Saturday 18 of March 2023 there is a concert of the group Door at 19 hours in the square of Antoni Albert i Nieto.
El Thursday 30 of March 2023 at 19:30 hours Is celebrated the feminist book club with the book 'Ethics for Celia', Ana by Miguel Álvarez with the presence of the author.
El Friday, March 31, 2023 at 18 hours there storyteller with Raquel Diaz Requena titled 'Jo soc' for families with children from 3 to 12 years old. That same day there is also a talk debate in the Casal de Igualdad with Anne of Michael about 'Neoliberalism and commodification of the women's body'.
Activities conclude on Tuesday April 4, 2023 at 19:30 hours with the third edition of Top in short, 'Our bodies, we' in the auditorium of Can Ventosa, and the screening of the short films 'Sorda' (18 minutes), 'Fed up' (24 minutes) and 'La historia de todas nosotras' (18 minutes), followed by a colloquium.
