They say there are nights that mark a before and after, and this Friday, May 30, 2025, was one of them. The debut of [UNVRS] (pronounced “Universe”) took our breath away. The highly anticipated [UNVRS] – The Opening It wasn't just another party. It was a declaration of intent, a total spectacle like we have never seen before.
From the moment we arrived at the venue, that impressive Ibizan estate transformed into a brutalist temple of light, cement and sound, the immense emotion among the attendees who came from all corners of the worldThe expectation was maximum.
After receiving us in the Dome, the impressive and iconic dome redesigned and wrapped in vegetation and structures inspired by HR Giger, we find a monumental space where every corner seemed designed to surprise: Mirrored hallways, retro-futuristic structures, floating staircases and hanging gardens They made us imagine ourselves in a pure scenario Science fiction. A true sensory stimulation theme park Always surprising, places to get lost in and find yourself again. Something unique!
If one thing is clear from the moment you walk through its doors, it's that the venue is huge, very, very huge, with high ceilings and a Main Room surrounded by terraces and open spaces that offer stunning views of Ibiza Town. In addition to its imposing structure, we're eager to see how each weekly residency adapts it with unique sets, visuals, and setups, because the possibilities are truly endless. Despite the completely packed venue on opening night, the main dance floor was very responsive: the audience could enjoy the headliner comfortably from almost any point in their space. Main RoomWith its L-Acoustics system custom designed, offering a flawless immersive sound from any angle we stood at.
The person in charge of lighting the fuse of the night at 23:00 p.m. was carista, who not only opened the track but entered history as the first DJ to rock the [UNVRS] booth. From then on, the night was a sonic journey in which top-level DJs followed one another, such as Ahmed Spins, Adam Ten en Back to back within Mita Gami, or with a Michael Bibi in a state of grace, which made the audience roar with its sharp groove and its intact charisma until dawn, giving way to one of the most anticipated moments, the B2B between Joseph Capriati and The Martinez BrothersAn explosive combination that lit up the Main Room, masterfully moving between techno, New York house, and attitude-filled Latin lines. The connection between them and the audience was absolute. The audience also experienced this with Sunrise Pass (entry from 06:00 a.m.), who arrived just in time to join the grand finale with fresh energy.
And the closing was even more intense, starring the long-awaited return of one of the most beloved artists in the history of Ibiza, the great Carl Cox, which has marked one of the most resounding hypes of this year with its First residency on the island in many years at [UNVRS] this summer. Along with him, another great star like Jamie Jones, who will also bring his famous party Paradise to this new and revolutionary club, they delighted us with an unforgettable B2B finale that defined what clubbing in Ibiza means: depth, rhythm and communion on the dance floor.
From the first beat to the 09 pm, both artists displayed a session vibrant and euphoric, loaded with surround bass and precise transitions, with the audience already bathed in the sun, dancing among immersive visuals and flawless sound which rounded off an absolutely unforgettable night (and morning!) It was the perfect ending, a "see you later" that felt like eternity.
The space deserves a special mention. Wild Comet, the micro-disco hidden in the club's restrooms. There, Salome The Cat offered an electrifying set in one of the most talked-about spaces of the night: intimate, psychedelic, and with a fascinating visual production that was activated by the sound. Other big names, some well-known in the local scene, were also lighting up the mini-venue, such as S/A/M or Paul Reynolds, in charge of closing.
Also, if you're lucky, you'll be able to find some of the other secret corners that [UNVRS] offers. We discovered "EL BUMKER" after crossing a bright corridor that we reached, I don't know how, when we discovered another small dance space, more intimate and of course where the sound was the protagonist.
From the first steps to the last beat, everything flowed and time seemed to fly surrounded by smiles and good energyWhat was experienced was not a simple Opening, but a authentic electronic odyssey of more than 13 hours of unlimited enjoyment.
Although [UNVRS] has a large space reserved for VIP table service (The Catacomb and private terraces), it did not detract from the inclusive spirit of the club, where everyone found their place, providing a vip experience to all attendees.
And after the big Opening, the imminent residencies of [UNVRS] await us at Eric Prydz (HOLOSPHERE 2.0), Jamie Jones and his Paradise, elrow, FISHER, David Guetta and his Galactic Circus or the great pope Carl Cox, each with a different production design that we are eager to discover.
An epic night that not only marks the opening of a new club, but also the birth of a new galaxy in Ibiza's nightlife. And it's just getting started.
