XI World Rice Competition of Matanzas 2024 in San Antonio, are you in?

The Matanzas World Rice Contest in San Antonio celebrates its 11th edition and presents its first junior edition for schools

The popular Matanzas World Rice Contest Celebrates his Edition 11 el Saturday 3 February 2024.

Don't miss this popular gastronomic event that is one of the most anticipated events of the Festivities of San Antonio this year and which, as the main novelty this year, includes the creation of the first World Junior Slaughter Rice Contest, open to all schools and institutes on the island and intended to raise funds for the study trip of students in 6th grade of Primary and 4th grade of ESO.

This Junior edition is celebrated the day before, the Friday 2 of February of 2024 in the square of s'Era d'en Manyà from the 10h and all participants will be invited to a breakfast consisting of churros with chocolate.

The teams will be made up of a maximum of 15 students accompanied by adults, whether they are family members, members of parents' associations or teachers.

Hay Awards for the first three classified: 1000 Euros for the first, 500 Euros for the second and 250 Euros for the third.

Regarding XI Matanzas World Rice ContestAs a novelty this year, all teams' rice dishes will enter the contest.

The teams can be made up of a maximum of 15 people who must cook this delicious traditional dish of Ibizan gastronomy that will be tasted by the jury. To prepare it, you must bring your own utensils and at least a kilo of rice.

The first three finishers will receive a lot of typical products and the winner, in addition, a sculpture steel, work of the artist Marco Zurita.

Furthermore, at mealtime, at 14 hours, there will be a popular slaughter rice.

And as always, there will be no shortage of entertainment, live music, country dancing, DJs and good vibes throughout the day, in addition to the expected awards.
