The term of registration To sign up with your cooking friends, the following opens Wednesday 14 of January at 09 pm and it is necessarily in-person, a It's Clot (Carrer Ample, 15, in San Antonio). Places are limited and last year a record number of entries was reached, with 150 participating teams.
The teams can be made up of a maximum of 15 people who must cook this delicious traditional dish of Ibizan gastronomy that will be tasted by the jury. To prepare it, you must bring your own utensils and at least a kilo of rice.
The first three finishers will receive a lot of typical products and the winner, in addition, a sculpture steel, work of the artist Marco Zurita. But in addition, this year there are cash prizes for the winners: A first prize of 750 Euros, the second of 500 Euros and the third of 250 euros.
Furthermore, at mealtime, at 14: 00 hours, there will be a popular slaughter rice.
And as always, there will be no shortage of entertainment, live music, country dancing, DJs and good vibes throughout the day, in addition to the expected awards.
Junior World Rice Competition
For the third year in a row, this highly anticipated gastronomic event also includes the Junior World Rice Competition of Matanzas, open to all schools and institutes on the island and intended to raise funds for the study trip of students in 6th grade of Primary and 4th grade of ESO.
This Junior edition is celebrated the day before, the Friday 6 of February of 2026 in the square of s'Era d'en Manyà from the 11 pm.
The teams will be made up of a maximum of 15 students accompanied by adultsParticipants must be family members, members of parent-teacher associations, or teachers. bring your own ingredients and utensils for cooking, and they must prepare as minimum 1 kg of rice.
