Si Te gusta go to the beach and forget about your swimsuit, appreciate nature in its purest state, not be in wet swimwear and enjoy the sun to the fullest without discomfort or marks on your skin, you're in luck because in Ibiza we like to go to the beach to enjoy and put aside your worries.
Nudism is a very common practice on the island. If you are reading this surely you are already a regular at this type of beach or practice it regularly. If not, and you're going to a nudist beach for the first time, we tell you some rules that are included in the nudism protocol so that you feel safe and make the rest of the people who are on the beach feel comfortable. Because nudist beaches, like textiles (as the rest of beaches are called), also have their rules.
Yes it is your first time on a nude beach follow these tips to have a great day and have no surprises:
-Don't stare at people, it's very rude (and quite logical, don't you think?)
-Use pareo or towel, it is unhygienic not to do it.
-Go and enjoy a day at the beach, not just to browse. There are many places to visit in Ibiza and nudist beaches are not one of them.
-Respect the silence and tranquility and, please, do not go to flirt on a nudist beach. No matter how many rumors or anecdotes you may have heard, it is not the place either.
-Lastly, something we shouldn't even have to remind you of is that you shouldn't take photos of people. It's one thing to be naked on a nudist beach, but it's quite another to have your photo taken and be taken out of context.
Having said that, we leave you the nudist beaches of Ibiza that we like the most. Click on their names to access the complete beach information.
ES CAVALLET, SAN JOSÉ
It's Cavallet It is, without a doubt, the nudist beach in Ibiza par excellence. Tolerance is in the air in every corner of this beautiful stretch of sand in the south of the island, which is known for its clear sand and turquoise waters.
It was the first beach in Ibiza to be declared nudist and one of the pioneers in all of Spain. It is also known for its LGBT atmosphere and its striking beach bars, where there is no shortage of good vibes.
It is also perfect for long walks. If you go all the way to the end, you will come across the defence tower of ses Portes and, if you continue, you will end up on the beach of ses Salines.
AIGÜES BLANQUES, SANTA EULÀRIA
In one of the parts of Aigües Blanques (Aguas Blancas in Spanish), nudism is common. That is, not all of the beach is nudist, but there is no problem in practicing it in that area.
You should keep in mind that, due to the morphology of this beach (protected by small cliffs), the sun sets a little earlier than on the rest.
Another peculiarity of this sandy area is that it is one of the known ones for being able to apply the popular mud baths so beneficial to some and so misleading to others.
SES SALINES END AREA, SAN JOSE
If you get to Salinas and you walk towards the Torre de ses Portes, that is, from the area of sa Canal towards the other side of the beach, as if you wanted to get to es Cavallet, you will find small coves between the rocks where you can practice nudism. Don't take long to get there, its beauty and crystal-clear waters make them fill up quickly.
Most of them are surrounded by rocks with striking shapes that have been carved by man and eroded by the sea.
ES RACÓ D'EN XIC, SAN JOSÉ
Very close to Cala Conta beach you will find Racó d'en Xic, a small cove that is very popular with nudists in Ibiza. The clarity of its waters and the magnificent sunset that you can see from it are its main distinguishing features. However, keep in mind that it is made of stones, both in and out of the water.
Make the most of your visit to visit the beach bar that you will see right next door: Cala Escondida. The good atmosphere is guaranteed throughout the summer.
ES BOL NOU, SAN JOSÉ
Popularly known as to Caleta, This beach is divided into different parts, and in one of them nudism is allowed. If you position yourself facing the sea, which is a striking turquoise blue, it is the area to the right of the cove. You will have to jump over a few rocks, but we assure you that it will be worth it.
Also, in another area you will find that famous mud that many maintain that it has benefits when applied to the skin.
If you want more privacy, you can also head into the wooded area until you reach the piers.
BEACH OF SES DONES, IBIZA
Also known as Sa Cova de ses Dones, this is an urban beach in the centre of Ibiza with a long history behind it. To get there you will have to take a long walk through the es Soto area, so we recommend that you do not do it in full sun.
Tranquility usually reigns on this tiny beach, which is why many people take advantage of it to practice nudism. In addition, it is one of the coves gay-friendly of the island. It is not one of the best known, but its small size means that it is not crowded with many people.
De Punta Galera You will be surprised by its flat rock platforms where you can lie down and sunbathe, as well as the beautiful sunset that you can witness from them.
Here you will find both people practising nudism and people in swimsuits. Everyone is welcome. And if there is one thing that stands out about this magnificent beach in the municipality of San Antonio, it is the heterogeneity that characterises the public that visits it.
Please note that this is not a recommended beach for children, as it is not easily accessible and is covered in all areas.
