Ibiza in a week

If you are going to spend a week in Ibiza, you can't stop reading these tips. Seven days on the island go a long way and we want you to make the most of them!

Have you decided to throw the house out the window and come A week of vacation to Ibiza? You know! Seven days on the island are the perfect time to meet her from top to bottom!

Of course all It depends on the season where you come and if you have your own vehicle (something we highly recommend).

If you are one of those who do not like to waste time planning trips, we do it for you! Here we leave you the route that we would do if we passed A week in Ibiza. Modify it as you wish or adapt it to your free gaps. It's all yours!

  • FIRST DAY IN IBIZA

They say that to enjoy a place and its people you have to know part of its history. How would you like to start your trip doing an excursion with Ibiza Free Tours? Their friendly guides will show you some of the most important corners of the island and will teach you to understand the reason for their traditions.

At the moment, visits are made in Ibiza town and in Santa Eulalia, both in summer and winter.

Ibiza city Tours
Ibiza City Tours excursions are a great way to get to know the history of Ibiza.

After the tour, if summer has caught you, you can go to one of the beaches in the Santa Eulalia area. We recommend that you visit Cala Nova, Aigües Blanques, Llenya Creek o Boix Creek

If there is no beach time, it is a good time to visit the museums of Ibiza. Click here To see more information.

  • SECOND DAY IN IBIZA

Surely you've heard of the Ibiza hippy markets. Of course, you have to go through one of them, if only to take a look at what is cooking in them. We tell you which days the main ones take place and what you will find on them. You choose the one that best fits your plans:

-Market of Es Canar or Punta Arabí, Santa Eulalia: in April, May and October on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m. In June, July, August and September on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m.

-Market of Las Dalias, Santa Eulalia: every Saturday of the year from the 10. From June to September also on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays from 19 hours.

-Mar Jordi Market: every Saturday in winter and summer from 8 in the morning and until 15 hours.

-All the markets in Ibiza.

  • THIRD DAY IN IBIZA

It's the turn of the beaches! You have a good handful of options, but we would start off the coast of San Antonio and San José.

If you choose the coast of San José, Cala Tarida is the first one we recommend. If you continue in the direction of San Antonio you will run into Codolar cove and then with Cala Conta (essential visit and sunset!). The next one worth visiting is Cala Bassa. By the way, don't forget the snorkeling gear or you'll regret it!

If you want, you can also go to Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta, already in San Antonio. It is another of the most admired beaches in Ibiza and, to conclude, go back a little to reach Punta Galera and see an impressive sunset.

  • FOURTH DAY

Today is adventure day! Go to him Ses Salines Natural Park. Next to the Church of Sant Francesc you will find the interpretation center, where you can find out about the richness of the surroundings.

This area is a place of passage and nesting of some 210 different bird species. Small plovers, storks, herons, Balearic shearwaters ... ask for binoculars and get ready to see them from one of the sighting platforms. If you are lucky enough to visit Ibiza from February to May or from July to October, you can contemplate beautiful flamingos in the ponds.

Once you finish your walk, go to the beach of Es Cavallet and take a good bath. Following this beach is Salinas. You can go on foot (there is a stretch, but the walk is very beautiful). Ses Salines is the perfect beach to practice all kinds of water sports without any risk, in crystal clear and safe waters. Salinas Sailing Club It offers activities such as kayaking, catamaran, paddle surfing, laser, windsurfing or SupPilates. You will have a great time!

Ibiza

After a hard day of sport, it's time for a good reward. Leaving the beaches behind, in front of the church of Sant Francesc, you will see the San Francisco bar. Stop and eat one of their rich crepes! You deserve it!

If you prefer another option, climbing to Sa Talalia is another beautiful excursion. It is the highest mountain on the island (475 meters) and has beautiful views of the coast.

  • FIFTH DAY

Being so close, are you going to waste the opportunity to meet Formentera? It is true that July and August may be too stressful months to visit, but still worth it. We are sure that you have not seen equal waters in life! Unless you have been in the Caribbean.

Theirs is that you rent a motorcycle and travel the island from end to end. Its tiny extension makes it more than viable even if you only spend a few hours on it. The lighthouse of Barbaria or that of La Mola are essential. Nor can you miss the Church of Sant Francesc or the beaches of Illetes, Caló des Morts or Migjorn.

Regarding the rental issue, Formentera limited the entry of vehicles in 2019 to the island to protect the environment and reduce traffic in high season. If you want to manage a reservation, you must do so first from the page that the Insular Council has enabled for it: formentera.eco

  • SIXTH DAY

Time to get to know the north of the island! Here we offer several options. One is that you are heading towards the Portinatx area. There you can swim in its small and beautiful beaches and make an excursion nothing complex until the beautiful Es Moscarter Lighthouse.

After it, you can eat at any of its beaches or get close to the one of s'Illot des Renclí. A beautiful and tiny sand that preserves that natural air that you like so much. Sit on the s'Illot des Renclí restaurant and enjoy a paellita with views.

Another alternative is to head towards Santa Eulalia. We recommend that you make a stop at the marina or in Cala Martina and don't miss the opportunity to practice scuba diving in Ibizan waters with the help of the experts from Have fun. If you have deviated from the route and are in San José, you can do dives with OrcaSub Ibiza Diving Center.

If you are not convinced by diving, you can go to Aigües Blanques and give yourself the typical mud bath. After that, a stop in the town of San Carlos is a great idea. You can eat in one of the most typical restaurants in Ibiza: the Bar Anita or Ca n'Anneta. Take note: good montaditos and the classic handmade Ibizan herbs. It does not fail!

You have thrown to one side or another, the next two options are perfect to end the day. A visit to the Cova de Can Marçà, in San Miguel, it always impresses. A cave located inside a cliff about 12/14 meters high above sea level with more than 100.000 years old.

And the quintessential plan: the sunset in Benirràs with the batucada in the background. Safety pin!

  • SEVENTH DAY

Have you been tired? Maybe it is time for you to give yourself a whim and visit the spa of one of the many agritourisms and hotels in Ibiza. Atzaró or Can Curreu are perfect for relaxing, but there are many more. You can find them clicking on this link.

Once you finish the care session, you will surely be hungry. In summer you can eat with enviable views in It's Boldadó or in Cala d'Hort restaurant Then stay to watch the sunset over Es Vedrà and go for a swim in Cala d'Hort!

Out of season we advise you to visit the Restaurant The doors of heaven. You will love the spectacular views from the cliffs of Santa Inés. If you are in Ibiza during the months of January and February, you can also take a small excursion through the Pla de Corona to contemplate the Almond trees in bloom.

  • PARTIES AND ACTIVITIES

Don't think we have forgotten about the party! By coming for a whole week, you can take the opportunity to choose the one that best suits your musical tastes. As you already know, in summer there are them every day! To find out about dates, styles, dj's and buy tickets, you can click on our Calendar of parties in Ibiza.

In winter you will not find nightclubs, but with the residents' favorite places. If you also want to hit a night of revelry, here we explain where to go: Party in Ibiza in winter.

If you are looking for a quieter plan or come outside the summer months, you will also have endless activities that you can go to. Choose the day in our 'What to do today' and discover all the options you have.

And to bring all the information you need about Ibiza in the palm of your hand, download the Welcometoibiza.com App and do not miss absolutely anything that happens on the island.

In short, do not get overwhelmed! A week in Ibiza is plenty of time to discover each and every one of its essentials.
