The musical cycle of this summer in the Caló de s'Oli Auditorium, Sol Post to s'Oli Fest offers you, in his second session, one of the most prestigious jazz musicians in the world: the great German pianist and composer based in Ibiza Joachim kühn, who will be accompanied by the Moroccan multi-instrumentalist majid bekkas for voice, the kalimba and the guembri, (a traditional bass from North Africa) and the Alicante Ramón López to the battery.
The Joachim Kühn Trio has been playing all over the world for 15 years and in this concert they will have the young Ibizan vibrationist Andrew Coll, a true promise with whom Kühn has already recorded some songs. Through his friendship and collaboration with Joachim, Andrés Coll met the other members of the trio, Majid Bekkas and Ramón López, forming with them both and with the prestigious Polish violinist, Mateusz Smoczynski, a new musical project: Andres Coll Odyssey.
It will therefore be a concert full of complicity, camaraderie, energy, connection and feeling in the outer enclosure of the auditorium, Oceanfront, and with sunset background.
The repertoire will include compositions by Kühn himself, traditional Moroccan Gnawa music and some compositions by Ornette Coleman, a famous American saxophonist who collaborated with Joachim for 10 years.
The concert is the Saturday 22 2023 July with the sunset. there will also be food trucks and bar drinks.
