El Festival program of Sant Bartomeu in San Antonio brings as one of its main courses a free concert from the Galician group tanxugueiras, which also takes place on the festivity of Sant Bartomeu, the Big Day, famous for its precious Fireworks over the sea.
Thus, the trio formed by Aida Tarrio and the twin sisters Olaia and Sabela Maneiro he will be acting Thursday August 24 2023 at 22h in the S'Arenal beach, in San Antonio.
Although they rose to fame with their participation in the Benidorm Festival and with the controversy aroused after not being selected to represent Spain in the Eurovision Song Contest, the Galician group Tanxugueiras had already gone viral in 2017 for a video where they appeared singing some panadeiras.
His first album «tanxugueiras", was released in 2018 and won the MIN Award for Galician-language album, and in 2019 they were awarded the Martín Códax Music Prize in the Galician Traditional and Folk Music category. Later they released their second album"Counterpoint", recognized as one of the best albums on the World Music Charts Europe. Its track "EARTH«, based on the rhythm of the muñeira and presented at the Benidorm Fest, gave them great national impact and shortly afterwards they released the song «Averno«, in collaboration with Rayden.
His music combines Galician traditional folklore, with sounds of world music, pop, trap and even electronics.
