The people of San Lorenzo, located right in the center of the island, celebrates the Day of the book with a day dedicated to reading and cultural exchange in a unique setting. This event, promoted by the San Juan City Council, is establishing itself as a perfect plan to enjoy the island from a different perspective. calmer, closer and more authentic.
Throughout the morning, this small, traditional hub transforms into a meeting point for readers, authors, publishers, and families, with book stalls, activities designed for all audiences and that special atmosphere that combines culture and local life.
A las 11:00h The day begins with a batucada by the students of the CEIP Torres de Balàfia.
Later, at 12:00h, Encarna de las Heras offers "Stories for all ears"For adults and children alike."
A las 13:30h There is a musical performance by the Ibiza group Endemics.
And throughout the morning there will also be Giant games from Jugueroix and there will be food trucks to have a snack.
All of this revolves around the Church of Sant Llorenç, one of the most unique enclaves in the municipality, which gives a very special character to the day.
In addition to promoting reading habits, the fair aims to revitalize the cultural life of the north of the island and highlight these spaces with accessible and open proposals, where it is easy to spend the morning among books, discover new readings or simply get carried away by the atmosphere.
It is a very complete day that takes place taking advantage of the holiday and a week later than in the rest of the towns on the island, the Friday 1 of May of 2026.
