Dave On My Mind returns after the break caused by the pandemic to celebrate its seventh edition, also resuming its regular programming after the season (the last appointment in 2019 was held at the beginning of June).
As you probably already know, the festival is organized by the San José town hall and MP Music Eivissa to honor and remember the figure of the musician Dave Jeffs (Oxford, 1945 – Ibiza, 2013), a well-known British bluesman, singer, harmonica player and guitarist who lived in the municipality. known as Blues Dave, the artist was one of the most loved and admired musicians on the island and was the teacher of many young musicians. The event was created when he passed away to remember him and pay tribute to his role in the island's music scene.
El VII Dave On My Mind Is celebrated the November 20 Sunday of 2022 in the San José square. As a novelty, this time the appointment is during the day, starting at 12 hours and ending on 18 hours, although everything will depend on the participating musicians and what they want to extend in this emotional meeting.
The event will feature several food-trucks and a poster headed by the rockabilly band Tru-Desert Trio, arrived from Almería and made up of three well-known musicians: Pike Cavalero (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Mario Cobo (electric guitar and vocals) and Pepe Lee (double bass and choirs).
Following this performance, the stage will be made available to the many friends of Blues Dave, who will participate in a exciting jam session, with the participation of some of the best-known artists on the island, such as Bluesmàfia i es Saligardos, Ras Smaila, Pere Vergés, The New Young Polaks, Heritage, Albert Oliva Blues Trio and many more.
