The Canijo de Jerez will offer a performance as a grand finale to the second edition of the Sol Post at s'Oli Fest, summer music cycle organized by the San José City Council in the auditorium facing the sea of Caló de s'Oli in Cala de Bou.
The famous singer from Cadiz is a regular in Ibiza, where he has come to play a few times and always receives all the affection from the island's public, in love with his irresistible flamenco rock fusion.
Marcos del Ojo Barroso (Jerez de la Frontera, 1982), better known as El Canijo de Jerez, debuted more than 20 years ago with the legendary The Delinquentes and the great album “The tick-like feeling that flowers bring out in us“, creator of a whole musical style. After performing with greats such as Kiko Venero, Muchachito Bombo Infierno, Tomasito, Albert Pla or Juanito Makandé, the artist has released five solo albums: “The new awakening of cosmic showbiz"(2012),"The snitch tongue"(2014),"Manual of fuss"(2018),"Constellations of smoke"(2020) and"Ash and Mud"(2023).
El Canijo de Jerez will perform at 21:15 hours accompanied by The Magnetic Strip, with Pepe Frias in the bass, Manuel Cabrales on the battery and Pedro Pimentel and Marcos Munné on the guitars.
In addition, at 20:00 hours The Ibizans will be acting as opening act The Rosemary Family, group led by the brothers Mario and David Romero, with the singer sara oteiza and the bass player Alfonso H. MorillasTheir repertoire ranges from rumba to jazz, melodic songs and Balkan music.
