The I International Festival Jazz Point Ibiza brings great artists to the island on March 6, 7 and 8, 2020 at Heart Ibiza, Teatro Ibiza and Can Ventosa
The first edition of International Festival Jazz Point Ibiza It was presented on Tuesday February 18, 2020 in Heart Ibiza.
The event has been attended by the Councilor for Culture and Heritage of the City of Ibiza Pep Tur; José Corraliza, Heart ibiza General Manager; David Moss, from Ibiza Music Agency / Jazz Point Ibiza; Muriel Grossman, from Ibiza Musician / Jazz Point Ibiza and with Juangui Harmsen, from Teatro Ibiza.
Jazz Point Ibiza will bring to the island some of the greatest international jazz artists of the moment. An appointment created by Joel Chriss Productions and The Ibiza Music Agency which will allow us to enjoy three unforgettable nights on Friday 6, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 of March of 2020.
The festival starts the night of Friday 6 of March of 2020 at 21 hours in a luxury location like Heart Ibiza, where it will lengthen until well into the morning.
A Grand Opening that will feature two concerts, a jam session and a special Dj Set on vinyl. The main action is the responsibility of the Rick Margitza Quartet with the renowned saxophonist Rick margitza, who has worked with the great Miles Davis. Next to him will be the composer three times nominated for the Emmy Award, Trevor coleman, who will play the keyboard and trumpet; Joe sanders, known as "the King of Bass," the legendary drummer of New York, Nasheet Waits; and, as special guests, alex sypiagin to the trumpet and the famous Valencian saxophonist Javier Vercher.
Previously, to open the night, there will be a concert by the Ibizan Muriel Grossmann, Together with Joe sanders To the bass. The evening will culminate with a Jam Session or with a DJ Vinyl Set with Ric Jazzbo based on great jazz, soul jazz and funk sounds, the perfect touch to a musically sublime night.
The second day of the festival, the Saturday 7 of March of 2020, a series of Master classes will be held from 12 to 13.30 en Can Ventosa. In them you can study and discover the greats of jazz with the help of different music professionals. Among them, Alex Sipiagin (trumpet), Javier Vercher & Jure Pukl (saxophone), Trevor Coleman (piano and soundtrack music), Joel Ross (vibraphone), Joe Sanders (double bass) and Nasheet Waits (drums) participate.
El Saturday 7 of March of 2020 from the 20:30 hours starts the second day of concerts of the festival in the flirtatious hall Teatro Ibiza.
El Pere Navarro Quintet, led by the well-known trumpeter, pianist, composer and producer from Ibiza, who will be accompanied by the vibraphone of Joel ross, will open the concerts of the night. After his performance, the protagonist of the evening arrives, the Jure Pukl Quartet, with Joel ross to the vibraphone, Joe sanders To the bass, Nasheet waits to percussion and, as a special guest Javier Vercher to the sax.
Por último, la Big Band Ciutat d'Eivissa will be responsible for putting the finishing touch to the festival on March 8 Sunday.
