Chinois Ibiza launches this summer a new creative campaign that focuses on closeness, humor and shared identity. Under the motto “We Are Chinois", a series of short, cinematic videos is being spread across social media to capture and celebrate the different ways people pronounce “Chinois".
“Chin-woz”? “Sheen-waz”? “Chen-oise”? It doesn’t matter. The idea is clear: there’s no “right” way to say it, because Chinois it belongs to everyoneFrom the local crowd, from passing clubbers, from music lovers, from those who dance until dawn without asking too many questions.
A campaign with soul
The videos, dynamic, endearing and spontaneous, collect the voices of more than 30 people from Ibiza: of different ages, genders, cultures, and backgrounds, all united by a smile and their love for the club. The message is inclusive and direct: “No matter how you say it, this place is yours too”.
"Ibiza is a multicultural scene. Many people told us they didn't know how to pronounce the name. Instead of correcting it, we decided to embrace it.", Explain William Worrell, creative director of Chinois and creator of the concept together with Sharon Simonetta, global marketing director.
Inspired by Oliviero Toscani's campaigns for Benetton, the project puts the focus on people, not on the sets.”Nothing is more powerful than seeing humans being human.”, says William.
Sharon sums it up like this: “We are all different, but on the dance floor we feel part of the same whole.. Chinois It's a place where you can be yourself, nothing more.".
Beyond pronunciation
The campaign will continue to grow with new videos and new faces, including the team behind the club. A collective tribute to community spirit that defines the experience in Chinois.
Because it's not about saying it well, but about truly feeling it!
