A very special arrival has marked the end of a unique challenge on the island: Steve “The Maintenance Guy” full 210 kilometers on a paddleboard around the coast of Ibiza with a charitable objective, culminating with its arrival at the famous O Beach Ibiza.
The adventurer and sports activist finished the 29 September 2025 Monday your challenge Paddling for a Purpose, a stand-up paddleboard journey that took eight days of effort and perseverance. The arrival took place in O Beach Ibiza, who supported the initiative supporting both the collection and the organization of the reception, demonstrating its commitment with causes that go beyond music and entertainment.
Steve's goal was to raise awareness and funds for two organizations that work with children facing serious illnesses: The SMS Foundation UK, which supports families affected by Smith-Magenis syndrome, such as Theo, the son of a close friend of the athlete, and Solving Kids' Cancer UK, focused on research into high-risk neuroblastoma, a disease suffered by little Freya, who is closely linked to the Ibizan community.
This isn't the first time Steve has taken on endurance challenges for charity: he's taken part in the Tough Guy Challenge, cycled from London to Brighton in under three hours, danced for five days straight in support of the NHS, and paddled across Loch Lomond.
On this occasion, he personally financed all the expenses for the 100% of the proceeds be allocated to the beneficiary organizations.
"It's been hard, but thinking about Theo and Freya has given me strength every day.", Steve declared upon his arrival, also thanking the support of O Beach Ibiza. For its part, Duane Lineker, CEO of the club, highlighted: “Their effort and dedication are an example of commitment to the community.
