El Ethnographic Museum of Ibiza is in a beautiful house payesa with 300 years oldThat of Can Ros, in the Puig de Missa de Santa Eulalia. In it you will be able to know the most significant aspects of life in the Pitiusas. In addition, you will discover the charm of this town, its people, its culture and the traditions that have marked its history.
Its permanent exhibition shows the clothing and jewelry which the Ibizans wore in the past. It has a multitude of household objects used in country houses, field utensils and of trades or specific tasks. It also includes a selection of musical instruments, weapons and articles of personal use.
All under a panorama that also contemplates the strong sociological changes that Ibiza suffered with the arrival of tourism.
If you wish, you can ask to be shown some of the historical videos that are part of your videographic file. In addition, if you are lucky, you will be able to watch the artisans work live since from time to time they are carried out craft workshops.
